1- Manually: the HARP can be operated with the different buttons on the device directly.
2- By mobile application: via your smartphone, you can control the HARP simply and intuitively. From the application, you can also add your own voice in the Voice-Mix functionality of the HARP.
1- In Discreet mode, which is barely audible to the human ear, coverage is effective within a radius of 3 to 5 meters (10 to 15 feet), for the microphones that are affected by this mode.
2- In Voice-Mix mode which is audible, the coverage is effective within a radius of 20 to 30 meters (up to 100 feet). It is possible to operate the Discreet mode and the Voice-Mix mode simultaneously to increase the security level to the maximum.
It is possible to combine several HARPs in the same room.
The HARP is not a white noise generator. White noise is a sound that can be cleaned up or "removed" from a recording easily using noise cleaning software. Our unit offers two protection modes: Voice Mix mode and Discreet mode:
• The Discreet mode emits ultrasonic noises to mask voices; consequently, the affected devices will not be able to pick up conversations. An important fact is that the Discreet mode is slightly audible, while sounds from a white noise generator are clearly audible and unpleasant.
• The Voice-Mix mode, audible to the human ear, emits a mixture of voices which covers the frequency spectrum of human voices so as to make indistinguishable the words spoken by speakers in the room in contrast with the pre-recorded voices. For added security, you can record your own voice to perfectly cover the sound frequencies of your voice and prevent audio cleaning.
In order to maintain the effectiveness of the HARP against new recording devices that are coming onto the market continuously, to increase the level of security and to continue its evolution, our engineers are constantly working to improve performance of its software. Updates will be notified to you via the app on your smartphone.
